Suites and Skyboxes Outfitted with State of the Art Hi-Definition Monitors;
Older Monitors to be Donated to Habitat for Humanity

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA – Consumer electronics brand Panasonic is the newest group to join the California Speedway family of sponsors, Speedway President Gillian Zucker announced today. As an official sponsor, Panasonic will be recognized as the “Official Television of California Speedway”. Panasonic’s 42-inch VIERA® HDTV monitors have been installed in suites and skyboxes across the facility providing fans with high definition viewing.

“California Speedway prides itself on giving fans the best possible experience and Panasonic will help enhance that experience by bringing the newest and best technologies to everyone in attendance,” said Zucker. “Motorsports action is tailor made for high-definition and fans throughout the track will now feel closer to the action than ever before.”

Panasonic’s 103” World’s largest Plasma TV will be on display in the media center throughout the weekend.

The addition of high-definition monitors into suites and sky boxes is the first phase of an installation process that will be completed in time for the Pepsi 500 weekend in August. When fans return for the Labor Day weekend races, the entire facility will be outfitted with high-definition monitors. With official sponsor status, Panasonic will also have advertising and promotional opportunities as well as signage throughout the facility.

“We are extremely pleased to announce our partnership with the California Speedway,” explains Eisuke Tsuyuzaki, Vice President Corporate Development and General Manager, Blu-ray Group for Panasonic.  “Panasonic’s VIERA high definition plasma and LCD displays will positively transform the motorsports experience for guests in the hospitality areas.  Now all the intensity and excitement of the events on the track will be viewed in beautiful high definition using the latest and very best technology provided by Panasonic.”

Additionally, the televisions that were replaced by the Speedway have been donated to the Riverside Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The Riverside Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a non-profit, retail outlet committed to the success of the home building mission of Habitat for Humanity, Riverside by providing ongoing financial support through the sale of donated new and reusable home improvement products.
